About The Chef
I grew up in the south, Georgia, specifically, and have a deep background of southern food. I spent many years in the food business, covering many different positions and different dining experiences, and there developed my palate for fine dining.
After kids came along, wanting to still have those incredible meals, I learned to create them at home. This is where I honed my cooking skills. When the kids were school aged I decided to re-enter the workforce and landed the perfect job as Foodservice Manager at their school! It was a private K-12 school that had no foodservice, and over the next few years I developed their foodservice from scratch.
For 12 years I was the “Lunch Lady”. It was my desire and pleasure to teach children the importance of eating a healthy diet, to “eat a rainbow everyday.” I also have had the pleasure to apprentice budding chefs, three are graduates of The Culinary Institute of America!
And now I have transitioned to “The Dinner Lady.” It is my desire to bring these nutritious eating habits to your home. To help you and your family to “Eat a Rainbow Everyday”!
